The Book Shipped Today! Hurrah! Hurrah!

And by "shipped" I mean that my publisher has now sent the files comprising Applications = Code + Markup: A Guide to the Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation to the printer, who will begin manufacturing the physical books.

This means that if I suddenly bolt up out of uneasy dreams at 3:30 AM and scream "Oh no! I forgot to discuss XAML in the book!" there's nothing I can do about it.

I'm very jealous that I won't be able to visit the actual printer and see the books come popping out of the big book-making machine and take a bunch of groovy photographs like Chris Sells did. I hope the book-production process won't be obsolete by the time I get a similar opportunity. Watching a DOC file get converted into a PDF or XPS file can't be nearly as cool.
